Rachel London
Bio
Rachel is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, and researcher. She received a BA from the Stamps School of Art and Design (English minor) from the University of Michigan (UM) in 2020 where she was a Shipman Scholar. She currently develops art-science programming with the Michigan Space Grant Consortium (MSGC), a NASA initiative. She was previously a graduate fellow with MSGC in summer 2020. This assignment followed a Residency with UM's Arts Engine in spring 2020--which culminated in the ongoing Artemis project. She has also worked as a research assistant to Professor Irina Aristarkhova on her book project Arrested Welcome: Hospitality in Contemporary Art. They traveled to Moscow, Russia in 2019 to study the architecture firm BuroMoscow for an article as part of the grant: Contested Innovation in the Global Silicon Valley. Rachel currently lives and works in the DC metro area.
